Dimpho is a 3rd-year Civil Engineering student at the University of Cape Town; she has consistently excelled academically, boasting distinctions and a remarkable high school career. With an 80% average and distinctions in Mathematics, Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD), Civil Technology, and Life Orientation.

Dimpho’s academic journey reflects a foundation of excellence. In her approach as a tutor, Dimpho is characterised by a deep understanding of each student’s unique strengths. She initiates the tutoring process by engaging students in conversation to discern their specific needs. To validate their self-assessment, Dimpho employs a series of questions encompassing the curriculum, confirming strengths, and identifying areas for improvement.

Following the assessment, Dimpho strategically addresses both weaknesses and strengths. Her belief in refining existing strengths whilst addressing weaknesses forms the core of her methodology. Dimpho aims to solidify understanding and embed knowledge into long-term memory by delving into challenging concepts and supplementing with repetitive exercises.
